about

Playing and performing in and around Whitby - you just can't ignore the GOTHIC connection. Then there's the DRACULA connection. From Dracula, connect to Frankenstein, Hammer House of Horror, then to the 1943 film Frankenstein meets The Wolfman. Simon Rupert wrote the song - and that could very well be how his mind works- maybe? Who knows? Anyway, he wanted to put a different twist on it: Even if you're a bit different - there's someone somewhere out there for everyone. Everybody needs somebody....

lyrics

I made friends with the Wolfman
When he dropped his glove
He said: I think that I’m in Love
I made friends with the Wolfman
When he came to town
Now That’s what’s going down
And he said
Everybody needs somebody
No matter what you do
He’s just like me and you

So I said
I made friends with The Catwoman
And I thank my stars above
Because I think that I’m in Love
Yeah - I made friends with the Catwoman
And I can’t believe it’s true
Because she feels the same way too
And we all know that
Everybody needs somebody
No matter what they do
She’s just like me and you

Well he said –
That moon’s sure shining bright tonight
And I looked into his eyes
And he said That moon’s sure shining bright tonight
And a tear formed in his eyes
Imagine my surprise

So I touch base with the Wolfman
Every once in a blue moon
I just listen for his tune
Yeah I touch base with the Wolf man
When that full-moon’s shining down
I can tell when he’s around

And we all know that
Everybody needs somebody
No matter what they do
He just like me and you

about

Tuppenny Blue Whitby, UK

The band have a unique and extensive repertoire of original songs & music with a style that is melodic but defies easy classification - neither slotting into a niche which could be defined as Blues, Folk, or pop, but more often some elements combining the above.
During 2020 we've been busy putting together a new album: ODD NUMBERS due for release early in 2021. Visit also: www.tuppennyblue.co.uk
